Why Sarah Palin is So Popular

-

Sarah Palin is a popular person in today’s culture and many wonder just what is it that this Alaska native has that makes her so popular. While her popularity is different for each person, much of the reason that she is liked comes from her straightforward manner and her youth. Sara Palin was the youngest person ever to be elected as Governor of Alaska, and she is also notable for being the only women to be elected Governor of that state. She served as Governor from 2006 until her resignation in 2009.

Palin isn’t just a politician, but is also notable for being a speaker and an author as well as a commentator on politics. She is also notable for being the running mate of John McCain when he ran in 2008 for President of the United States. She was the first ever person from Alaska that was ever placed on a ticket for a national election of any major party. She would have been the first ever female Vice-President, had John McCain been elected the President of the United States, and it was actually the first time that a female had been a Vice-Presidential nominee in the Democratic Party.

Sarah Palin resigned from her job as governor about a year and a half before her term was up because of the investigations being conducted as a result of her running for election with John McCain. The visibility of the campaign caused several problems in Palin’s life that she said made it difficult for her to govern the state of Alaska. There were ethics charges that were being pursued and Palin cited the surmounting legal fees that both her and the state of Alaska were incurring as a reason for resigning in an interview with ABC News.

Palin also wrote an autobiography that was well read, called Going Rogue: An American Life. In fact, upon the release of the book it became a best-seller and sold in total more than two million copies. She now is a regular contributor on Fox News as a political commentator She released another book in late November of 2010 called America By Heart and now has a television show on The Learning Channel called Sarah Palin’s Alaska, which showcases some of the best parts of the state, making her a very well rounded figure in the American Public.

Speculation abounds as to whether or not Palin will run for office again in the future. Many people believe that she will be on the nomination ticket for the upcoming Presidential Election in November of 2011, and that has been reflected on websites, television news programs and other media. Palin was spoofed on Saturday Night Live, with some sketches about the upcoming election, and she was very effectively portrayed by comedian and actress Tina Fey, who looks a lot like her. All of these reasons contribute to Sarah Palin’s popularity and her support for running for office again in the future.

Where to Find and How to Install HP Printer Drivers ?

-

If you have HP Printers then you might need to install the drivers from them at some point in time. While printers do come with the drivers on a disc, or some have the drivers embedded in a hard drive that is accessible when you plug in the USB connection, sometimes it is necessary to get the drivers for your printers or other HP products online. This can be a daunting task because of the huge variety of products that the company offers. Here are some tips on how to get and install HP printer drivers when you need to get them from the internet.

A driver is software that is required to run a component of your computer. Much of your computer’s hardware and internal components require drivers, but you generally don’t notice them as much because they come installed with whatever operating system that you are using. However, your printers also need drivers and they are usually installed separately unless your printer came bundled with your computer. Your first step in finding your HP printer drivers is to go to the HP website at www.hp.com and click on the link at the top that says “Support and Drivers”.

hp printer drivers one

You can choose to either allow HP to detect automatically which devices you have that need drivers, or you can enter you product number and search for the right software. The automatic detection sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t so you may be forced to enter in your product number.

clip_image004

Your product number will be located somewhere on your HP printer, and is usually a series of letters and numbers, although it may just be numbers. You can also just enter your product name in if you know it. For instance, OfficeJet Pro 8000.

clip_image006

Once you have gotten to your product, which may require you choosing yours from a list that HP will give you after you type in your product name, you will have to choose which operating system that you are running, for instance Windows 7 or Windows XP.

clip_image008

Then you will get to a page that will ask you to choose what kind of drivers that you want to install. There may be a list that includes items like Order a CD-ROM, Drivers, Firmware Updates and Software. Most of the time you will want to to click the plus sign next to drivers.

clip_image010

There may be several options under the driver plus sign but usually the first option is the basic driver which is all you need to make your printer work. However, there may be extra software like photo editing or other HP bundled programs that you may want, in which case you will choose one of the other driver packages.

clip_image012

Finally, you will be taken to a page that says download. Click the button and follow the instructions.

Once the driver has been installed, it is a good idea to restart your computer and try your printer out to see if it works.

jqs.exe how to disable it

-

clip_image002

Jqs.exe is a process that people often find on their task manager, and that many people mistake for some kind of virus. However, this service is not a virus and is not harmful to your computer at all, the only thing it does is to take up a little bit of extra system resources. JQS is actually the Java Quick Starter which allows Java to remain running and ready to go for your convenience. However, if you want to disable it from starting up, you can do so quite easily. There are a couple of different ways to disable the Java Quick Starter.

The first way that you can disable it is by opening the command line box which in Windows XP is done by going to Start and then Run.

clip_image004

A box will come up and you can type services.msc.

clip_image006

Then, press enter to bring up the services window. This works almost exactly the same way for Windows Vista and Windows 7.

clip_image008

Once the window is open scroll down to Java Quick Starter and right click on it. Then select properties. When the properties window comes up, you can select disable from the drop down menu where it says Startup Type.

clip_image010

This will keep Java Quick Starter from starting up when the computer starts. However, you may have a reason for getting JQS to stop right away and you can stop the service without having to reboot your computer. The process to get to the services window is exactly the same. Click Start, run and type in services.msc. Then when the window comes up scroll down to Java QuickStarter and right click. However, this time instead of selecting Properties, right click and select Stop. This will immediately shut down the service.

clip_image012

There is another way to shut down the service if you prefer, although you will have to reboot your computer to do so. It starts the same way, with click the start button and choosing run. However, this time you will enter MSCONFIG. You can type it in small letters or large.

clip_image014

This will allow you to access the configuration panel for the start up services. Once you have typed this in, a window will come up with several tabs. You will want the tab labeled Startup. Once you are on that tab, once again scroll down and search for the Java Quick Starter Service. It may or may not be there. If not, then skip this step.

You will notice that many of the services have check marks next to them. If the Java Quick Starter service is running and scheduled to run on Windows Start Up then it will be one of those that have a check mark in the box next to them. Simply remove the check mark by clicking on the box. Next, click the services tab and tick the box that says “Hide All Microsoft Services”. Finally, find the service called Java Quick Starter and remove the tick in the box next to it.

clip_image016

Then, press Apply or OK and restart your computer. The service will no longer run when you reboot.
