How to Use the Facebook Login Screen
Using the Facebook login screen is fairly simple once you get the hang of it, and after a few practice tries, you’ll be able to use Facebook and other social media websites as easily as if you had been doing it for years.

The first thing that you’ll have to do in order to log in to your Facebook account is to create one. If you don’t have a Facebook account yet, then it is easy to get one, simply by going to the Facebook homepage at www.facebook.com and typing in the name you want to use and the other required information like your email, password, gender and birthdate. Alternatively, you can choose to create a page for an organization, band or celebrity fan page at the link below the sign up button.

In the process of signing up, you will encounter a capcha, which requires that you type in a series of letter and numbers to prove you are not a computer making an automated request.

Then, you will be directed to a page that will inform you to check your email and confirm your mailbox before you can continue. Often, people encounter problems with the Facebook algorithm not recognizing the email address that they have entered.

For instance email addresses at domains with dashes in them may not be allowed, and email addresses at your own website are sometimes filtered out. In this case, if you have entered your email correctly and Facebook is refusing to accept it, you might consider creating an email account at Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail to use in creating your Facebook page.
If you forget the email that you used to sign up for Facebook it is quite easy to retrieve it with several options. If you keep trying to log in and cannot simply click the link at the bottom of the login screen that says ‘Forget Your Password’.
You will be taken to a screen that will allow you to search by your email address, or phone number if you entered one, as well as by your Facebook username which is usually http://facebook.com/ followed by your first and last name separated by a dash. However, this may not be the case if yours is a common name that is used by a lot of people.

If you don’t know your Facebook user name or your email then you can search by entering your first and last name, and the first and last name of one of your friends. This will take you to a page where you’ll be asked if you want to reset your password, and will show you a very small portion of your email addresses listed on your account.
